Rendezvous With Reality
Todd, joined by his partner Chelsea, is piloting his private plane to Kalispell, Montana to shoot a documentary aboutSpiritual Evolution when a violent gale forces him into an emergency landing on a remote mountain lake. Lost in the wilderness without food, shelter, or cellphone service, they find salvation in the form of a hilltop cabin, occupied by a family of homesteaders. A family as cold and withdrawn as the mountain itself. But Todd and Chelsea admire their living off the grid too much to take their hostility personally. Allies to all that’s natural and in awe of anything authentic, the filmmakers realize they’ve been gifted a once in a lifetime opportunity. By the time they discover their hosts aren’t homesteaders, or living off the grid, or the apotheosis of all that’s renewable and sustainable, it’s too late. And then of course there’s the FBI.
